Jill
Whitby joined Guy Kornblum & Associates
in March 2007. Jill
came to the firm after teaching mathematics in various bay area public
schools for sixteen years.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics
at University of California, Santa Cruz and her teaching credential
from San Francisco State University. She entered the four-year
night J.D. program at Golden Gate University School of Law in 2003
and graduated a year early while continuing to teach high school mathematics.
While at Golden Gate, Jill earned the
Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in both Property I and Appellate
Advocacy. She also earned the
CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Property II, the Merit Scholarship,
and was a member of the Moot Court Board. Jill graduated from Golden
Gate in the top 14% of her class.
Jill brings her analytical background and problem
solving skills, as well as her time management skills, to the firm. Jill also is a
gifted writer and has been instrumental in helping other attorneys with
their cases by writing numerous legal memoranda in support of our clients’ positions.
Jill lives in San Francisco, California and enjoys
playing softball and surfing. She is currently pursuing an LL.M.
in Taxation at Golden Gate.
