Walter G. Crump has practiced law with Guy Kornblum & Associates since 1999—the same year that he graduated from law school at the University of California, Davis and passed the California Bar Examination. 

Since joining the firm, Walter has distinguished himself by serving as co-trial counsel in a six week Real Estate trial in Marin County and an eight week Bad Faith Insurance jury trial in Orange County.  Walter has also distinguished himself by writing numerous complex legal memoranda, taking depositions and arguing motions.  Walter has also been the lead brief writer on numerous trial court matters and several appellate court matters.

Walter has been active as a volunteer attorney for the San Francisco Aids Legal Referral Panel and has received two “Hero Awards” for such service.  Walter was also instrumental in the firm having been chosen as ALRP’s 2004 Law Firm of the Year and nominated for a California State Bar Pro Bono Service Award.

Walter is a member of the State Bar of California, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Bar Association of San Francisco, and the Consumer Attorneys of California.  Walter is admitted to practice before the trial and appellate courts in California and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of California and the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeal.

Prior to attending law school, Walter obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from Georgetown University where he graduated magna cum laude and double majored in Political Science and Spanish.  Walter grew up in Belvedere, California and graduated from San Francisco University High School.

Walter also serves on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco non-profit organization “Friends of the Urban Forest” (“FUF”).  FUF is responsible for planting a majority of San Francisco’s residential street trees and is dedicated to greening and beautifying San Francisco through tree plantings, advocacy and community outreach. 

Walter is also a member of the St. Francis Yacht Club and is active in running, skiing, hiking and cycling.
