Wrongful Death Case of 81 Year Old Man Settled for $500,000
Earlier this year we settled a wrongful death case of an 81 year old resident at an elder care facility for $500,000. He had a reduced life expectancy of 3+ years becauseof ill health. Normal was 7 years. No economic loss; just non-economic damages. Over the years we have gotten very good results in our "golden years" cases. This is definitely a good result. Worked with my good friend and colleague, David F. McNamar of McNamar & Associates, Indianapolis, Indiana, a nursing home specialist on this case.

Construction Coverage Case Settled for $1.325 Million
Just returned from the Midwest where I was working with my long time friend and colleague, David McNamar of McNamar and Associates. We settled a case against the insurance of a construction company whose subs had defectively constructed some homes for $1.325 Million, and that was just the case against the primary. There is still an excess carrier, so we are pursuing that aspect of the case.
